This policy explains what personal information Earth Bloom Tea collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

When you place an order
- Your name, email address, phone number if you give one
- Billing address and shipping address
- What you ordered, the amount, and your order history with us
- A payment confirmation and the last four digits and card type returned by our payment processor
We do not receive or store your full card number, expiry date or security code. Those are entered directly into our payment processor’s secure form and never reach our systems.
When you contact us
Your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, so we can answer.

- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the site you arrived from
- Cookies and similar technologies (see below)
Why we use it
- To fulfil your order — take payment, pack, ship, and keep you updated
- To support you — answer questions, handle returns and refunds
- To meet legal obligations — tax and accounting records, which Canadian law requires us to keep
- To protect against fraud — verify orders and prevent misuse of payment cards
- To improve the shop — understand which products and pages people find useful
- To send marketing — only if you asked for it, and you can stop at any time
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects for you.
Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary, only with providers who help us run the shop, and never for their own marketing. They are bound to protect it and to use it only for the service they provide to us.
- Payment processing — our payment processor receives your payment and billing details in order to authorise the transaction and to run its own fraud checks. Our checkout is hosted on a dedicated secure checkout domain operated for Earth Bloom Tea; information submitted there is handled under this policy.
- Shipping carriers — your name, address and phone number, so your parcel can be delivered.
- Website and email hosting — providers who store the site and send order emails on our behalf.
- Analytics — aggregate usage statistics about how the site is used.
- Professional advisers and authorities — our accountants, or a law enforcement or regulatory body where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Where your information is held
Our providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States or the European Union. Where information is handled outside Canada it may be accessible to the courts and authorities of that country. We choose providers who apply protection comparable to Canadian standards.
Cookies

How long we keep it
- Order and tax records — six years, as Canadian tax law requires.
- Customer account and support history — while your account is active, then removed on request.
- Marketing contact details — until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics — in aggregated form that no longer identifies you.
How we protect it
The site is served over TLS encryption. Access to order data is limited to people who need it to do their job. Payment card data never touches our systems — it goes directly to our payment processor.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your information in a way that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as the law requires.
Your rights
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how it has been used
- correct anything inaccurate
- delete information we no longer need to keep
- stop sending you marketing
- withdraw a consent you previously gave — though we may then be unable to complete an order
Email info@earthbloomtea.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
Children
This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
